Top of PageThe Committee is here to make the club work for you. Any member is welcome to attend committee meetings and raise any issues they feel should be brought to our attention.
The committee has a number of subgroups with a specific focus:-
The Committee normally meets at 8.00PM on the Tuesday night 10 days after the ‘2nd Saturday’ Clubnight at a Committee Members home. Contact any committee member for details of venue.
At the Annual General Meeting of the Club on 10th October 2009 Vivienne Allen stood down as Secretary of the Club, and did not stand for re-election to the committee. Vivienne has given up the rigours of Folk Club organisation to spend more time with her family. We hope to hear her making more music too.
No Secretary was elected at the AGM, this role will be filled from within the incoming committee.
Graham McGregor, former Club President was elected back on to the committee after a year off. We expect to get double the work out of him this year.
Newly elected to the committee this year is Shiree Lee. Shiree has helped represent Titirangi on the Auckland Folk Festival Committee for several years and we look forward to having her energy enliven our club life.

A resolution was passed unanimously to increase the Membership Fees for 2010/11 to $15 single & $20 family.
At the first meeting of the new committee on 20th October, the following arrangements were made:-
Shiree Lee took on the role of Secretary - correspondence, agendas, minutes, the formal governance role of a club Secretary.
Paul Howarth took on the role of Newsletter Editor, which should fit nicely with his existing role of webmaster.
Both these roles had been previously filled by Viv Allen so we figure she has earned her rest.

He was replaced in the role of Club Treasurer by Leanne Appleby. Leanne brings a wealth of experience advising community groups and we look forward to benefiting from her knowlege in this area.
Also, Graham McGregor, former Club President did not stand for re-election to the committee at this AGM. Thank You Graham for your contribution to the running of the club over the last few years, we hope to continue to hear your music, both individually & collaboratively.
