Lothlórien – Now deferred to 2021

This was to be Saturday 12th September, but now can’t go ahead now due to the Covid-19 status in Auckland, so we’re having to put them off till an evening in 2021.

So Saturday 12th September will instead be a club night via Zoom!

Lothlórien

Lothlórien is a Celtic music group taking its name from the magical forest found in Tolkien’s ‘Lord of the Rings’.

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, the group plays Celtic music mainly from Ireland, Scotland and England with occasional forays elsewhere.

Lothlórien plays both traditional folk and contemporary songs and tunes, from ethereal and haunting (in the style of Clannad and Loreena McKennitt) to jaunty and lively (such as jigs and reels), including some original compositions.

Amongst our influences – Clannad, Loreena McKennitt, Connie Dover, Capercaillie, Dervish, Deanta, Altan, Solas and many others…..
