New to the Auckland scene, Adam, Claire and Emily bring a fresh feel to the Celtic tradition. All talented soloists, together they produce a vibrant, energetic mix of harp, guitar and fiddle.
Claire Robertson has been playing traditional harp since she was just 4 years old. She has performed twice for the president of Ireland, is a recipient of the Frank Winter Memorial Award and has performed and tutored at the NZ Gaidhealtachd. She writes her own material and together with her sister Kirsty and teacher Anna Dunwoodie has published a book of tunes. Claire and her family band Sula have also performed at the Whare Flat music festival.
Emily Roughton's fiddle playing is firmly grounded in the roots of the Scottish tradition. She is the 2012 and 2013 Scottish Fiddle Champion and has taught at the NZ Gaidhealtachd and Celticanz music camps. Together with band Fiddlelore, she has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, been a guest at the Auckland Folk Festival, was awarded the Frank Winter Memorial Award from the Auckland Folk Festival in 2010 and was a semi-finalist in NZ's Got Talent 2008.
Adam Ogle arrived fresh from Whangarei in January with a guitar strapped to his back. An upcoming fantastic young talent, he has taught at the NZ Gaidhealtachd and was the recipient of their scholarship which enabled him to travel to Ceol Aneas and learn from top guitarist Jon Sanders. Adam's unique, rhythmic style of guitar makes him one to watch.
An informal ‘Singaround’ - ‘Open Mic’ without a Mic - A smaller group of people meet to share their songs and music.

The Club was conceived in 1965 when the Clancy Brothers didn't come and someone had the astounding idea of having a sing-a-round thus transforming an audience into a folk group. Formally established in 1966 we're still going strong.
