Clare and Nick are traditional singers and songwriters who have been singing for a long time, and once they got together, their skills and talents blended to create beautiful songs and stories.

With their debut album “One Shilling” under their belts, they are delighted to be back at Titirangi Folk Music Club with a bunch of old and new songs to delight and entertain.

Regulars in the folk scene are likely to be aware of Clare’s magnificent voice, allied with Nick’s well crafted songs which span subjects from all over the world and all throughout history.

Come along and expect a mix of humour, tragedy and social commentary, sometimes all in the same song.

Friday Folk – Friday 24th May 2019

An evening of taking turns to share music and songs around the circle, joining in when you can, with harmonies on your instrument or voice. Participate or listen. The choice is yours.

We’re a totally informal, small friendly group of people who like to sing and play music. This is a good place for experienced musicians to meet up and enjoy playing together.

If you do not sing or play and would like to then here you’ll find encouragement. There is never any pressure and you may wish to visit a few times to get confidence or you may already be confident, it does not matter, no one will criticise, only support.

Doors open 7.30pm for a 7.30pm Start
Admission $3

Danny Priestley – in Concert – Friday 22nd March 2019

Large stage presence, honest banter, famed voice and great choice of songs have been known to make hardened outback diggers cry into their Coopers. That’s what the Auckland Folk Festival publicity said about him and we’re not going to argue.

Originally from Australia, now from Hawke’s Bay, Danny was a big hit at the recent AFF and we’re sure he’ll prove just as big a hit with us this evening.

Madeline Beasley and Bill Morrison

2 musicians who have been regular features of the Auckland Folk Music scene for some time, recently they’ve started playing as a duo, and we’re very glad to have them open for Danny tonight.

Doors open 7.30pm for an 8.00pm Start.
Admission – limited to 50 persons.
$15 – Pre-Registration Recommended.
